Your privacy and health insurance quotes

As part of our services, we provide a means to get free quotes on insurance products. You may be directed to one of several Web sites based on the type of product, your ZIP code and product availablity in your area. We selected these other sites using several criteria, most importantly your convenience and privacy:

• immediate access to pricing and policy details online -- no agent will call, but they have qualified agents for you to talk to should you choose;
• varied offerings make it easy for consumers to shop and compare;
• you can get quotes with only basic information, ZIP code and genders and ages of proposed insured. You do not need to give a name, e-mail or other identifiable information unless you decide to apply for a policy. Since there are several sites we work with, please refer to that site's privacy policy when you are in the quoting process to see how it handles your personal information once your provide it.

No disclosure of your personal information

Healthinsurance.org only collects personal information from you in two instances:

• if you use our contact form to contact us. We only use your e-mail or other information to reply to your message and do not keep it on file or share it with any other company;
• if you are in one of a few selected ZIP codes where we provide insurance quotes to you from a local insurance agent in your area. This is currently a limited pilot project, and is easily identifiable by being the only time you are asked for your name and contact information during the quote request process.

In the case of the pilot project, you may be contacted by healthinsurance.org in a followup survey to determine the level of consumer satisfaction with its quote fulfillment process.

Anonymous information.

This is information about visitors to our site that does not personally identify you, such as the number of visitors to our Web site. You may be included in that number, but are never personally identified. We may share information such as the number of visitors to our Web site from a particular state with partners, but never their names and contact information (except to provide you a quote as disclosed above).
