Last time I checked, the government didn't "own" banks or auto makers, but rather loaned them money, which some have already been making re-payments on. So if a publiC OPTION is only an option, how is that ramming anything down our throats? I know it's hard for Americans, who have always been used to looking-out for "number 1", to accept the idea of making sure everyone has a way of recieving healthcare, but the time has come that it's not even about about helping our fellow man anymore. No, it's about not loosing everything you've worked for because greedy insurance companies have no regulation and no competition. How "American" is that?

We can all agree that changes to our health system need to be made, but when did CHANGE become defined as RECREATE? Who has read enough of either bill to know which part is worth keeping and which part is worth throwing out? This is being crammed down our throat by this congress and this administration. I do not want the government to take control over one more thing. They already own two car manufacturers, some banks, the post office, our education system, and our highways. When was the last time you praised either of these? Changes need to be made but why would anyone want the fox to create the chickens health insurance plans?
