The Star-Ledger — The Freelancers CO-OP received start-up federal funding and state approval to operate a new health insurance company in New Jersey. The new, non-profit company, Health Republic Insurance of New Jersey, will sell policies through the federal insurance marketplace beginning Oct. 1.
