Patrick Cannon has over a decade of experience in health care advocacy and research. As an advocate, he has organized campaigns to expand health care access, focusing on educating the public and small businesses about consumer benefits in the Affordable Care Act.
He has also promoted the Children’s Health Insurance Program, managing regional coalitions, organizing media events, recruiting business partners, and researching innovative outreach strategies.
Patrick serves as chair of the board of directors for REACHUP, Inc. and is a board member of the Universal Health Care Action Network and the Hillsborough County (FL) Health Care Advisory Board.
Cannon earned his doctorate in Communication at the University of South Florida, his Master’s at the University of Arkansas, and Bachelor’s at the University of Chicago. He works as a health care advocate and consultant with Wendell Potter Consulting.
