What could be better than a little health policy with a deep cup of coffee on Sunday morning? Perhaps the only thing would be a lot of health policy.
Well, you’re in luck this week: Joe Paduda over at Managed Care Matters has put together an edition of Health Wonk Review that’s packed with great posts. He’s dubbed it “The Election is Coming” edition and though it isn’t clear why he labeled it as such, we’ll speculate that it’s because the dozen or so posts he reviewed should be required reading for voters as they prep for November 4.
Voters might, for instance, take a close look at handful of posts about the Affordable Care Act so they’ll be able to decide whether whether to thank – or perhaps “spank” – their members of Congress for their votes on health reform.
- Roy Poses has a piece about the ACA’s rollout of the Sunshine Act – a financial disclosure provision.
- Louise Norris explains whether you’ll be able to hang on to your grandmothered health plan.
- Jason Shafrin looks the variation between accountable care organizations (ACOs).
There’s plenty more in this solid edition of HWR. Who knows … it might even inspire you to vote.
Next up: Jennifer Salopek hosts HWR over at Wing of Zock on October 23.
