The latest edition of Health Wonk Review is posted over at HealthBlawg, and we must say that host David Harlow has gone above and beyond to make this week’s review the kind of thing readers will want to … you know … gobble up.
The edition is clearly a nod to the star of this week’s show (or, like the t-shirt that’s going around, “All about that baste, bout that baste …”). Harlow’s got the turkey-centric graphics, but he explains that the edition is also about “the health care policy decisions (and decisionmakers) that sometimes make us wish we were in more of a stupor … so as to lessen the pain.”
We weren’t surprised to see #Grubergate, among the topics in Harlow’s review, but were relieved that the entire HWR column was not a compendium of Grubergate posts. (And yes, that list could have included our own post by Harold Pollack.)
There are really some juicy tidbits here for folks like us who hanker for Obamacare fare:
- a few health reform-focused post-election wraps at Health Access Blog, Managed Care Matters and our own blog (a really extensive three-part interview with Larry Levitt);
- a wish list of ACA fixes from Louise Norris at Colorado Health Insurance Insider,
- Business Blog’s interview about the health data needed to power health reform;
- and, naturally, a couple of posts (from InsureBlog and from NCPA’s Health Policy Blog) that point the finger at ACA as the resident turkey.
The table is also set with plenty other non-reform posts that look scrumptious (including two posts about Meaningful Use – at Health System Ed and at Forbes.com). Mmmm Mmmm.
Anyway, dig in, and we’ll see you next time, when Hank Stern hosts HWR over at InsureBlog on December 4.
