Health Wonk Review for November 7, 2013

'If You Like the Health Wonk Review You Currently Have, You Can Keep It' edition

This week, Brad Wright at Wright on Health does another excellent job of pulling together a delicious smorgasbord of posts from Health Wonk Review’s distinguished health wonks. As Wright points out, the month of October was “the stuff of legend” for health wonks.

Across the wonkosphere, wonks expended gallons of virtual ink explaining to readers why they should or should not consider the glitch-riddled rollout of ACA’s online exchanges a disaster of epic proportions. Wonks also weighed in on the furor over President Obama’s oft-repeated promise that Americans who liked their health plans would be able to keep it.

Among those reviewed this week were bloggers familiar to readers – Maggie Mahar and Louise Norris. Mahar took issue with the media’s intense focus on the federal site’s glitches while ignoring significant successes in state-run exchanges. Norris also urged readers to not feed into the hysteria around news that carriers will be canceling policies that aren’t ACA-compliant.

There’s more, of course, and we highly recommend you peruse this edition.

And, as Brad Wright notes, if you like it, you can keep it.
