Health Wonk Review for April 20, 2017

Who's on First? Edition

Brad Wright has the Who’s on First? Edition of Health Wonk Review posted over at Wright on Health and it’s giving me a nasty case of dèjá vu.

Just back in February, we posted our own #alternative_facts Edition of HWR. But obviously, the fact that we need two HWR editions on the same theme in the same year is telling: As Brad notes, “we are awash in what Kellyanne Conway calls ‘Alternative Facts.'”

Like it or not, Brad has a brand new batch of posts that focus on health reform and the never-ending battle to sway public opinion. Thanks to Brad for including our own post from Louise Norris, who tackles the always-touchy topic of whether the ACA is in a death spiral.

As always, our amazing contributors have gone out of the way to providing compelling content. One of my favorites in this edition is Joe Paduda’s use of Monty Python gifs.

It’s a great collection of posts – and not ALL about health reform. So check it out.

Next up: The May 4 edition of HWR, hosted by Julie Ferguson at Workers Comp Insider.

Steve Anderson is editor and content manager for, where he’s been writing about health insurance and health reform since 2008. He’s been fortunate to have worked with a talented team of health policy writers.
